Abstract/Summary
Results of a follow up walkover survey undertaken as part of the Mires Project. In order to ground truth the results of the initial walkover, the EMP Historic Environment Officer undertook follow-up surveys firstly on Burcombe on 23rd February 2012 which expanded the survey area to include the areas in which baling would be undertaken during restoration and secondly on Wester Emmetts on 7th July 2014. This work added a further six new potential archaeological features to the total. This report presents the results of this survey and updates the results and conclusions of the initial survey.
Several features with MFR codes were noted as dubious records and were not recommended for entry into the HER by the Mires Officer.
N.B. The Report is dated 2012 but includes information added in 2014.
