Full Description

A sub-rectangular hollow 4m by 3m with aspoil heap approximately 5m by 4m and up to 0.9m high on its upslope (southern side) was noted by Cornwall Council during a walkover survey of Burcombe and Wester Emmetts. [1] A small prospecting pit measuring 4m x 3m was discovered on a Mires walkover survey of Burcombe. It likely forms part of the iron ore mining activity on Burcombe. [2]
