Organisation

Hazel Riley

Date

April 2015

Description

A survey of two areas of earthworks in Haddon Woods was undertaken on behalf of the landowner in advance of the construction of an access track. The aim of the survey was to record the morphology of the earthworks where the track cuts through them, and to place the features in their historic landscape context. This survey has recorded two areas of routeways in Haddon Woods. The hollow ways are part of a route from the ford over the River Haddeo at Hartford over the unenclosed land of Hadborough and probably date from the medieval period.
