Full Description
A hedged bank was noted during a survey of the site in 2015. It was noted to be part of the boundary of a rectangular plot of land shown on the tithe map of 1841. Called ‘Garden on Haddon Hill,’ it was in use as arable land and owned by the Earl of Carnarvon, being occupied by James Lyddon. Inside this plot are very faint traces of hollow ways known to cross the site (MEM23781), suggesting that the plot has been cultivated at some time. [1,2]
