Full Description

Banks or broken walls forming three sides of a rectangular enclosure seen on aerial photographs. The Ordnance Survey map states it is named "Higher Linhay". [1] Small building and "Higher Linhay" marked on 1962 map. [4] Not shown on 1979 map. [5] The site is a clear plot on the Tithe Map for Exford. [6] The 1st and 2nd Edition show two small enclosures and a small building at SS 8542 3922. These are labelled "Higher Linhay". [7,8] This record was enhanced as part of the National Record of the Historic Environment to Exmoor National Park Historic Environment Record data transfer project. [9]
