Full Description

The Tithe Map from 1840 calls this area of farmland 'Higher and Lower Wellshead' but no homestead is shown for Lower Wellshead. It may have lain to the south of Higher Wellshead, which still survives. [1,2] This record was enhanced as part of the National Record of the Historic Environment to Exmoor National Park Historic Environment Record data transfer project. [3]
