Full Description

The church includes features dating from the Norman period. [1] Graveyard in use since at least medieval times. [2] The remains of a medieval cross comprising a socket stone and a small stump of shaft survive in the churchyard. The socket stone is square at the bottom with sides of 0.7 metres, reducing to an octagon with broached corners. [3] The first rector of the church was appointed in 1318. [4] The extent of the churchyard is indicated on the 2021 MasterMap data. [5] The churchyard is also shown on the 25 inch 1st Edition Ordnance Survey map. [6]
