Wood's Café and Balsom's Bakery was in Bank Square (formerly in Church Lane) and Wood's Restaurant and Bar is still located here. The building was originally used as a Dame School.  Woods Dining Room incorporates a traditional shop front with recessed entrance at the side, and has a frontage of roughly coursed local stone with sash windows including one tri-partite.  The building is mentioned in the 2019 Conservation Area Appraisal for Dulverton.
