Abstract/Summary

This report describes the results of a geophysical (resistivity) survey and an evaluation of two test pits at Waytown Farm, Kentisbury, near Barnstaple, Devon NGR SS6254 4485. The geophysical survey and excavation was undertaken by Mr. James Knights, Mr. Trevor Dunkerley and Revd. Keith Wyre as part of a community archaeology initiative designed to answer specific archaeological questions for the owners of the site, providing local people with information and a possible opportunity to participate in any future excavation. The site was brought to the attention of Mr. Trevor Dunkerley by Mr. Rob Wilson-North, archaeologist of Exmoor National Park in 2002.
