Abstract/Summary

Lynmouth Flood Memorial Hall includes a permanent free exhibition on the flood of August 1952, run by a group of volunteers. The hall was erected in 1958 on the site of the former lifeboat station and was opened on 10th July, officially marking the completion of the rebuilding of the village after the flood. It is a stone built hall with a slate roof, and with an external staircase on its southern gable end.
