Full Description

A water wheel at Cophold Farm is known from an estate catalogue of 1920. Water was supplied via a wooden conduit supported by brick pillars which are still extant. All the other remains were destroyed. [1] The 1st and 2nd Edition Ordnance Survey maps show a pond to the west of the farm buildings that appears to have drainage channels running from it, though this is not clear. [2,3] This record was enhanced as part of the National Record of the Historic Environment to Exmoor National Park Historic Environment Record data transfer project. [4]
