Full Description

The site of a farm water wheel at Edbrooke Farm of post-medieval date. The wheel pit is partly infilled. [1] Track of leat from SS 9070 3419 and remains of panstock and trough. Wheel pit partly infilled. Had 3 feet wide and 14 feet diameter overshot wheel. Powered farm machinery and rack saw bench. [2] It is not clear which building on the site housed the water wheel. [3] This record was enhanced as part of the National Record of the Historic Environment to Exmoor National Park Historic Environment Record data transfer project. [4]
