Full Description

SS 8639 3543. Group of very small enclosures at Little Ash. Possibly garden plots. [1-3] "Little Ash" printed on Ordnance Survey Archaeology Division 6 inch map and one building shown. [4] Probably a change of site or shrinkage from a hamlet to a farmstead (two buildings are shown and named Little Ash on the Ordnance Survey 1 inch 1st Edition map of 1809). [5-7] Further buildings have been added to the site since the 1962 map was surveyed. [8] This record was enhanced as part of the National Record of the Historic Environment to Exmoor National Park Historic Environment Record data transfer project. [9]
