Full Description

A possible circular enclosure can be seen as an earthwork on aerial photographs of 1952 to the southwest of Withypool at circa SS 8402 3537. The date and function of the enclosure are unclear, but its proximity to Waterhouse may support an interpretation as a possible building platform of post-medieval date. However, the feature is visible on only one run of aerial photograph from that year and it is possible the feature is non-archaeological in origin.
