Full Description

The crash site of a B17 bomber, west of Court Down, was reported by Derek Bales who has researched the site and recovered ammunition and other debris at the location. The bomber, which was based at Deepham Green, Norfolk, crashed after a bombing raid on Frankfurt, on 20 March 1944. [1] The B17 Flying Fortress crashed on Court Down on 20 March 1944. [2]
