MEM25711 - Post medieval granary at Manor Farm, Beggearn Huish (Building)

The granary forms part of a group of early 19th century buildings forming a courtyard at Manor Farm, Beggearn Huish. It is likely the youngest of the buildings present on the site, first appearing as a separate structure on the manorial mapping records in 1859. It does not appear distinctively on the tithe map as a separate building, but may be amalgamated with the Lower Linhay. [1] The granary, like the other buildings, is constructed primarily of locally sourced red sandstone and cob, topped with corrugated iron sheeting roofing. [2]
