Full Description

A curvilinear earth bank is depicted at this location by the 1st and 2nd ed OS maps [1, 2], following the course of a field boundary depicted by the Tithe [3]. The bank is visible in LiDAR imagery [4], and recent aerial photographs shows that a new, straight boundary has been reinstated on approximately the same line. The boundary is in an area of anciently enclosed land, and appears to relate to the Rock Lane holloway, suggesting a medieval origin. This record was created by Cornwall HER as part of the Forestry Commission's Project K [5].
