Full Description

SS 71786 45072. A medieval or post-medieval trackway crossing between Shallowford and Furzehill was noted in the form of a hollow with a slight bank to the north, during field survey following a wildfire in 2022. The hollow was measures as 1 to 2 metres in width and 0.3 metres deep, with a bank 2 metres wide and 0.25 metres high. [1] The trackway is not shown on the Tithe Map for Lynton, nor on the 25 inch 1st and 2nd Edition Ordnance Survey maps. [2-4]
