Full Description

Set on high ground within landscaped gardens is a former vicarage (now Priory Court) of 1872. It is a substantial building, typical of its time with dressed stone and plain tiled roof. [1] Priory Court is shown on the 2022 MasterMap data and is also labelled "10". [2] The building is labelled "Vicarage" on the 25 inch 2nd Edition Ordnance Survey map, and "Rectory" on the 25 inch 1st Edition map. [3,4] The building is not shown on the Tithe Map for Dunster. [5] The heritage asset was assessed for inclusion on the Exmoor Local Heritage List in November 2022. It was decided to add the asset to the Local Heritage List. [6]
