Site of a Second World War auxiliary unit operational base was recorded in the middle of la quarry. The base was constructed in 1940-41 and comprised a corrugated iron bunker. A field visit in 1998 located no traces of the structure.

Full Description

Site of a Second World War auxiliary unit operational base recorded in the middle of Lodge Rocks Quarry at Roadwater. The base was constructed in 1940-41 and comprised a corrugated iron bunker. A field visit in 1998 located no traces of the structure. [1] This record was enhanced as part of the National Record of the Historic Environment to Exmoor National Park Historic Environment Record data transfer project. [2]
