Full Description

The Tithe Map fpr Exford depicts a ford across the River Exe at SS 8427 3906. [1] By the time the 25 inch 1st Edition Ordnance Survey map was surveyed, the arrangement for the site appears to have been altered to include a footbridge at SS 8427 3906 and the ford to the south at SS 8427 3905; however, it is possible the bridge was simply not depicted on the Tithe Map. [2] The arrangement shown on the 1st Edition map is repeated on the map and is depicted similarly on the 2018 MasterMap data. [3,4]
