Full Description

The Tithe Map for Exford shows a house at SS 8535 3839, forming part of a row of mixed residential and shop units. Together with the neighbouring outbuilding (MEM24025), it is labelled 1187, which the accompanying Apportionment describes as "Cottage and Smithy", leased by Osmond Locke and occupied by Robert Adams and others. [1] The house is shown on the 1st Edition Ordnance Survey map. [2] The house is still extant. It is two storey, with a single window on the first floor and a further window on the ground floor, with a door on its righthand side. It is named "Holly Tree Cottage" and is in use as a guest house.
