Full Description

An L shaped building is shown on the Tithe Map for Lynton and Lynmouth at SS 7361 4765. It is sited within land parcel 1308, which the accompanying Apportionment describes as a "Cowshed and yards", in use as garden and within the land ownership of "Coombe Park" [sic], which was owned and occupied by the Reverend John James Scott. [1] By the time the 1st Edition Ordnance Survey map was surveyed, the building had either been drastically reduced in size, or demolished and rebuilt to form a small square building with an enclosure to the south. This layout is repeated on the 2nd Edition map but it appears that the structure has since been demolished. [2-4]
