Full Description

The site is shown as a clear plot on the 2nd Edition Ordnance Survey map. [1] A building is shown at SS 9050 3496 on the 6 inch 1962 Ordnance Survey map. [2] The building is still extant and is named Greystones. [3] Winsford had a village policeman until after the Second World War. The Police Station was moved from Pitt Cottage to Greystones in the 1930s. [4] An historic photograph of the house is held by the Winsford Archive. [5] Winsford was designated as a conservation area in 2023. The new appraisal was produced as part of the adoption of the conservation area. [6]
