Full Description

A guide post is marked on modern MasterMap data. [1] The signpost was visited as part of the Exmoor and West Somerset Signpost Survey Pilot in 2015. It has SCC (Somerset County Council) repeated on the four sides of a pyramid finial. The attached fingers read: WOOTTON COURTNEY [sic] 1 1/2 PORLOCK 5 DUNSTER 2 1/2 MINEHEAD 5 A396 TIMBERSCOMBE 1/4 WHEDDON CROSS 4 TIVERTON 19 1/2 The post was made by Sheldon Wells. [2] The heritage asset was assessed for inclusion on the Exmoor Local Heritage List in February 2024. It was decided to add the asset to the Local Heritage List. [3]
