MEM23001 - Late 19th or early 20th Century sluice near Luccombe (Monument)

Summary

A sluice was noted on historic mapping; however, it was noted to have been destroyed by a modern weir in 2021.

Full Description

A 20th Century sluice was recorded on the 2nd and 3rd Edition Ordnance Survey maps. This was not seen on the 2014 MasterMap. [1-3] The site was visited in September 2021 during a walkover survey. The sluice was stated no longer to be extant as a modern weir had been constructed here at some time during the 21st Century. [4]
