Full Description

A post-medieval sluice was visible on the 1st and 2nd Edition Ordnance Survey maps. This was not seen on the later 2014 MasterMap. The Monument GIS point was placed upon the annotation for the 1st Edition map, as the feature location was not certain. [1-3] The sluice was presumably related to the pond also shown on the 1st Edition map, which fed the waterwheel at Broomstreet Farm. Mapping adjusted but still not confirmed. [1,4]
