Full Description

A Neolithic to Early Bronze Age flint, likely a scraper, bifacially knapped and likely originally from a bi-polar struck pebble, was found by landowners southest of Litton Farm in 2012. [1] The flint is pale grey in colour, with a small amount of white-ish cortex surviving on the ventral face. It is an elongated drop shape, with significant removals from the dorsal face and retouch clearly visible. There is a small area of chalky white patinisation at the distal end. [2] No other flints were found in association with this example.
