Full Description

A pond on the south side of the farm track was recorded during the survey in 2002. The subrectangular sunken feature 15 metres by 9 metres is enclosed by stone walls and provided water for a system of leats and water catchment features in the meadows to the south of the farm. [1] A small pond shown on the Ordnance Survey 1st Edition map to the south of West Challacombe with a leat running south. [2] The map is not depicted on the Combe Martin Tithe Map. [3]
