Full Description

A set of buildings are first depicted on the 1st Edition Ordnance Survey map. They are arranged in small groups at SS 9061 3482, SS 9060 3485 and SS 9062 3485, either replacing a structure that was depicted on the Tithe Map for Winsford (see MEM23632) or possibly partially demolishing, altering and extending an existing structure on the site (see MEM23635). [1,2] Since the 2nd Edition Ordnance Survey map was surveyed, the building group at c. SS 9061 3482 has been demolished, as has part of the group at SS 9062 3485. The area is now labelled "Royal Oak Farm". [3,4] Winsford was designated as a conservation area in 2023. The new appraisal was produced as part of the adoption of the conservation area. [5]
