Full Description

Luxborough Road Station to the east of Gupworthy was intended to be a station on the West Somerset Mineral Railway line but it was never completed. [1-3] The station is not marked on the Ordnance Survey first edition 1:10560 map but is depicted on the First edition 1:2500 map of 1888 and annotated as Langham Station. [5-7] It is annotated Northbrook Station on the 25 inch (1:2500) map of 1904. [3] One of three stations built on the upper section of the West Somerset Mineral Railway line, but never opened to passengers. The building has been almost completely levelled, a few fragments of masonry are all that survive. [8,9]
