An incomplete station intended for passenger use in the West Somerset Mineral Railway line but never officially used. The building is now almost completely levelled.

Full Description

Luxborough Road Station to the east of Gupworthy was intended to be a station on the West Somerset Mineral Railway line but it was never completed. [1-3] The station is not marked on the Ordnance Survey first edition 1:10560 map but is depicted on the First edition 1:2500 map of 1888 and annotated as Langham Station. [5-7] It is annotated Northbrook Station on the 25 inch (1:2500) map of 1904. [3] One of three stations built on the upper section of the West Somerset Mineral Railway line, but never opened to passengers. The building has been almost completely levelled, a few fragments of masonry are all that survive. [8,9] This record was enhanced as part of the National Record of the Historic Environment to Exmoor National Park Historic Environment Record data transfer project. [10]
