MSO8929 - Undated trackway on Blagdon Ridge (Monument)

A sinuous linear feature is visible on vertical air photographs on the crest of Bladgon ridge at SS 9659 3250. The feature, which appears to be cut deeply into the ridge may be a trackway of uncertain date. [1-3] This record was enhanced as part of the National Record of the Historic Environment to Exmoor National Park Historic Environment Record data transfer project. [4] The feature is visible as an extant earthwork in LiDAR imagery and may relate to water management, as the adjacent pathway originated as the course of a leat (see MEM25726).
