A number of stone spindlewhorls of uncertain date have been found.

Full Description

A spindle whorl of grey coloured stone is said to be one of three or four, picked up in different and widely separated fields at Broomstreet Farm, Culbone, in recent years. [1] One of the spindle whorls was found whilst ploughing a field at SS 8187 4820, the others (exact numbers unknown) were found about the farm many years ago by M.T. Richards and can no longer be traced. [2,3] This record was enhanced as part of the National Record of the Historic Environment to Exmoor National Park Historic Environment Record data transfer project. [4]
