Full Description

Quarries (disused) marked on 1978 Ordnance Survey map. [1] One shown smaller but not annotated on 1905 map. [2] Within improved pasture are a pair of stone quarrying pits running down the slope to the west of Bradley Pond. [3] The smaller quarry is shown at SS 8546 3451 on the 25 inch 1st Edition Ordnance Survey map and labelled "Old Quarry". [4] The 2021 MasterMap data shows only the southern quarry (labelled "Workings (dis)") as an earthwork at SS 8550 3448. [5]
