MSO10947 - Post-medieval catchwork gutter north of Warren Farm (Monument)

Short section of leat northnortheast of Warren Farm. Western end against a 19th Century field bank. Eastern end terminated against two parallel banks that may be the remains of a field system. Leat created by digging a ditch against the upslope side of an existing bank. [1-3] A short leat is visible on aerial photographs as an earthwork north-north-east of Warren Farm, Exmoor. It appears to be part of the substantial water meadow system which extends from Prayway Meads to Warren Farm, and has been recorded as part of this monument. See MMO2354.
