MSO10864 - Possible undated mound south of Chains Barrow (Monument)

Small mound with surrounding bank. [1-3] SS 7335 4133. A small mound with surrounding bank seen by McDonnell on aerial photorgaphs [3]. SS 7335 4133. The reference falls on fairly steep improved ground which is now reverting back to rough grass and rushes, a damp area covered by old peat cuttings and wet hollows. There is no trace of the alleged mound seen on aerial photographs. [4] This record was enhanced as part of the National Record of the Historic Environment to Exmoor National Park Historic Environment Record data transfer project. [5]
