Full Description
'Wheat Hams Barn' shown on the 1st and 2nd Edition Ordnance Survey maps. [1, 2] Not shown on 2005 map. [3] A barn is shown on Kings Brompton Tithe Map, plot 1690, and recorded as Wheat Hams meadow and shed in the Apportionment Book. An adjacent lane is shown leading to the River Haddeo to the north. [4] The barn appears to have been demolished by 1947, and current OS mastermapping shows that the adjacent field boundary has also been removed; it is unlikely that any above-ground archaeology survives, although below-ground remains may survive.
