MSO10216 - Post-medieval mound on Mill Hill (Monument)
Please read the caveat document.
Type and Period (1)
- None recorded
A small mound lies on the northern edge of Mill Hill. The mound is rather amorphous in shape and measures roughly 2m in diameter and is 0.6m high. It is turf covered and peaty and is probably associated with peat-cutting. Remains of this activity, which was small scale and probably dates from the post-medieval period, occur in the area.
