Summary

A mill, leat and pond, shown on the Ordance Survey 25" map of 1904, are probably of post-medieval date. Medieval pottery was recovered when a clay-built structure on the site was demolished.

Full Description

A mill, leat and pond are believed to be post medieval in date. The landowner has demolished a further clay-built structure believed to be medieval due to the recovery of medieval pottery. [1] A linear ditch, the post-medieval leat, is visible on vertical aerial photographs taken in 1947. [2] Can be seen on OS 25"map. [3]
