MMO619 - (Monument)


A short section of contour leat is visible as an earthwork. NNE of Warren Farm. It was possibly created by digging a ditch against the upslope of a field bank which may be the remains of a field system. This leat is one of several recorded individually that is in fact part of the substantial water meadow system now recorded under NMR UID 1475879.

See summary (1-2) A short leat is visible on aerial photographs as an earthwork north-north-east of Warren Farm, Exmoor. It measures approximately 85 metres in length, and appears to be part of the extensive water meadow system around Prayway Meads, The Warren and Warren Farm (3). See NMR UID 1457879.
