Ditches seen as earthworks on aerial photographs to either side of Town Lane in Barton Town may simply be field drains or could be the remains of a post-medieval water meadow, know locally as a catch meadow. They are centred at SS 6811 4057. [1,2] This record was enhanced as part of the National Record of the Historic Environment to Exmoor National Park Historic Environment Record data transfer project. [3]
