MMO3018 - Post-medieval field boundaries at Swincombe Cleeve (Monument)

The remains of two former field boundaries of probable post-medieval origin can be seen on aerial photographs as earthworks centred on circa SS 8418 3991, at Swincombe Cleeve. They abut extant field boundaries at their southwestern ends and probably therefore operated as part of the surrounding field system. However, they are not marked on the 1st Edition Ordnance Survey map and were therefore probably abandoned prior to 1889.
