MMO2529 - Prehistoric field boundary on Lucott Moor (Monument)

A possible field boundary of later prehistoric date on Lucott Moor, Luccombe parish, is visible as earthwork bank on aerial photographs of the 1950s. The earthwork is approximately 160 metres long and can be seen climbing the west facing combe slopes at Weir Water head, centred on circa SS 84374371. The earthwork may be a fragment of field boundary associated with the hillslope enclosure of possible Iron Age date, circa 25 metres to the north (MSO7904).
