A medieval or post medieval field boundary is visible as a slight earthwork in a field west of South Furzehill, Lynton and Lynmouth. Centred at approximately SS 7245 4482, the boundary runs approximately north-south, and is slightly curved. It is similar in size and form to the extant boundaries in the area, and was probably laid out during the same period. A boundary is depicted here on the 1st edition Ordnance Survey map, dividing the extant field in two, and was probably removed shortly afterwards to create a single larger field (1-2).
