Full Description

A probable relict curvilinear field boundary west of Yearnor, Porlock, is visible as a relatively prominent bank or lynchet in LiDAR imagery (1) and as a cropmark in recent aerial photographs (2020). The boundary runs roughly parallel to a curvilinear boundary to the north, and is presumably pre-1840, as it is not depicted by the Tithe, or the 1st or 2nd ed OS maps. The boundary is in an area of anciently enclosed land and may have medieval or early post medieval origins. This record was created by Cornwall HER as part of the Forestry Commission Project K (2).
