Full Description

Centred at SS 9870 3140 some 100 m west of Ditch Farm are the earthworks of a deserted farmstead. Although smoothed they are still substantial and comprise at least two building platforms around a dished area some 9 metres across, presumably a former yard. The building platforms and yard lie within an area defined by a hedged lane (now disused) on the south and east and by an earthwork boundary on the north and west. The hedged lane formerly continued as far as Higher Ditch (see MMO672). Found during field reconnaissance and surveyed at 1:2500 scale.
