Full Description

The 25 inch 1st Edition Ordnance Survey map depicts and labels two quarries, at SS 9366 2857 and SS 9372 2854. [1] The 2021 MasterMap shows that both quarries have been enlarged, the eastern one more than the western. The latter is labelled "Quarry (disused)". A further earthwork feature of the same nature, likely another quarry, is shown at SS 9364 2861. [2]
