Full Description

A C shaped building (or three linear buildings enclosing a central yard space, with an open side to the east) is shown on historic mapping at ST 0447 3855, with a small enclosure to the south. The building is sited within land parcel 181, which the Apportionment describes as "Clitsome: Ten Acres with Barn", owned by Sir John Trevelyan and occupied by Richard Nicholas. [1] The C shaped building is again shown on the 25 inch 1st Edition map, although the southern enclosure appears to have been removed. The site is labelled "Higher Barn". [2] The site is shown on the 2021 MasterMap data and is labelled "Higher Barn". The linear building enclosing the northern side of the yard appears to have been removed. A larger rectangular building has also been added to the site at ST 0444 3859. [3]
