Full Description

The Tithe Map for Selworthy shows a square building located at SS 9092 4646, adjacent to the entrance to "The Cottage" (MEM23875). This is labelled 379, which the Apportionment describes as "Holnicote: Lodge and Garden." [1] The building is shown in a similar plan form on the 25 inch 1st Edition Ordnance Survey map. A benchmark is recorded on the northwestern corner of its northeastern elevation. By this time, The Cottage had been replaced by Holnicote House (MEM22093). [2] The building is shown on 2021 MasterMap data and appears unaltered. It is now labelled "West Lodge". [3]
