Full Description

A farmstead is shown on the Tithe Map for Carhampton at SS 9451 4045. It is labelled 1090, which is described in the accompanying Apportionment as "Slade: House Bartons and Gardens," owned by Honor Kent and occupied by William Palfrey. [1] The 25 inch 1st Edition Ordnance Survey map shows the site with an additional building, presumably a new farmhouse, sited at SS 9452 4047. The site is labelled Slade and a pump is shown at SS 9450 4044. [2] The 2020 MasterMap data shows some outbuildings have been removed or added since the 1st Edition map was surveyed and the farmhouse has been extended. The site is again labelled "Slade". [3]
